Samandar Hai Darmiyan

Released: January 1998
Starring: Mishi Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Sohail Asghar, Komal Rizvi, Saadia Hussain, Zaheen Tahira and lots of others.
I think after the success of Awazain (!?) someone thought of making another one like it. A guy goes off to look for more prosperity in Japan (I guess they got tired of going to the U.S.) and gets married to a Japanese woman eventhough he has a mother, wife (Saadia Hussain) and kids in Pakistan (yeah another one of those!). Saadia's brothers are Adnan and Sohail who inheret their father's wealth and have fun with it. Sohail is a womaniser and befriends every pretty face and that's where he falls for Mishi Khan or vice versa. Mishi plays a model who eventually has the real life actress Andleeb sort of end. Adnan goes overseas where Komal falls in love with him but she's not Muslim and Adnan is not quite sure because he's got a girl waiting for him in Pakistan. Adnan goes back to Pakistan and Komal follows him after converting to Islam and the story follows from there. Saadia's husband also returns from Japan and their love triangle (or quadrangle) eventually ends.

Other Comments:
Some people were offended by my comments about this drama, so let me go ahead and apologize. A lot of people worked hard to make this play (like any other play I'm sure), and I was in no way trying to undermine their hard work and commitment.
