Qismat

Released: December 1998; On 2 cassettes.
Directed by Fahim Burney. Starring: Adnan Jilani, Farhan Agha, Shamoon Abbasi, Nida Mumtaz, Qazi Wajid, and a bunch of new faces most of whom couldn't act.
The story revolves around leftmenu friends Amir and Zoheb. They are both tennis players who want to be better than the other and they also like the same girl. The only problem is that one is rich and the other poor. Zoheb is daddy's little son so he gets what he wants whereas Amir has to struggle and prove himself. The story itself doesn't offer anything new or unique. The ending is prolonged beyond belief. Farhan's acting towards the end is definitely award deserving. He really takes the cake at the end...wow! Give the guy a simple role and he won't do it but give him something challenging and he works hard at it! Great Job Farhan!
